A contracting body
No Expiration
Rio de Janeiro Adventurer's Guild
Have you ever seen a frog's babies? They have black spherical bodies with long tails. Normally, as children become parents themselves, their bodies must get bigger. Although, apparently, there might be exceptions to that, too. To learn more ask a Town Official here.

1. Children of a large frog
Although it may be a little incredible, please listen to the full story. It was when I went to the area southwest of the town. There was this small frog of about 20cm in a lake the size of a water puddle. As I had never seen anything of that size, I remember it clearly...
2. Parent of a small frog
A few weeks after that day, I went again to the same place. There was a frog of about 5cm swimming in the water. ...that's when I noticed a strange thing. There were only 20cm sized small frogs then, but now there are only 5cm size frogs...
3. Are they the same animal?
I thought maybe both of these are the same. Normally, the size increases as an animal grows but this frog may be the reverse. I would like you to confirm if what I observed was correct.
4. Investigation of expanding frog
Frogs that grow smaller as they grow? Let's study this frog landing southwest of Rio de Janeiro.

Different from other frogs, it has a very long tadpole stage, allowing it to grow to a size that is nearly four times an adult. During its other periods of metamorphosis, its body will shrink.
