Any one know how to get steam engine title ?

This particular title was given to players who registered from STEAM long time ago. But for the "Master of steam" title there's a series of quests (or quest... not sure if you have to do them all) you have to do; a maritime, an adventure, and a merchant themed one. These can taken from either Lisbon or London but the former is preferably. Your see why in a second.

Note that the quests will NOT appear unless you are in a steam ship, and if you change ships while undertaking one it will automatically suspend itself. So dont waste your QMPs unless your in one!

"Battle on a steamship", 7 star quest from the Lisbon or London maritime guild. Defeat a fleet that appears northwest of the Azores around 14661,3070. No further information is given, so I dont know what to expect unless another player who has done it before can chime in.

"Pig delivery request", 7 star quest from the Lisbon or London merchant guild. Deliver 100 pigs within 30 days to the Rest House master in Santo Domingo. It's best to buy the pigs beforehand unless you have a high rank in Livestock trading or have several PO1s to burn.

"Steamboat Survey Report", 7 star quest from the Lisbon or London adventure guild. Need to have Boston discovered. Just sail to Boston within 30 days and speak to the Port Official there. That's it.

Forgot to mention that the "Master of steam" title decreases the amount of coal fuel your steamship consumes.

There's no page (that I know of) for Clermont, so I will post directions for how to gain access to use a Clermont here. Special thanks to Daemon above for the correction to the Boston part of this miniquest.

To gain access to the Clermont, your nation must be in Industrial Revolution (IR) status. Once it is in IR status, go to your nation's IR city, and then go to the factory. Near the blast furnace, you should see a NPC named "Steam Engineer". Talk to him about steam ships, and he'll tell you to go to the "Largest city in Jutland Peninsula".

Well, it turns out this is Lubeck, so go to Lubeck and speak to the Shipyard Master, then report back to the Steam Engineer at your nation's IR city. He'll ask you to go to Boston shipyard, so go there and talk to Franklin (as in, Benjamin Franklin) at Boston Academy. After you're done, go back to the Steam Engineer at your nation's IR city, where you will gain the ability to make hulls for Clermont as well as build and use one.

NOTE: You must invest (roughly 3m-5m) in your industrial revolution city to make the hull or build the ship. This is NOT a requirement to simply use the ship though.

A list of IR cities by nation:

Spain: Bilbao
England: Portsmouth
Dutch: Rotterdam
Venice: Cattaro
France: Le Havre
Portuguese: Viana do Castelo
Ottoman: NONE
