I had this title on for a long while to see if it did anything and I hadn't noticed any affect. I think it's like the Quipucamayocs and Ocelotl title i.e. it's just only used to used to equip certain pieces of equipment.

Odd, I have submitted over 120 thesis and I haven't obtained this title. I assume there's another step involved?

The actual requirement for this title is to complete the Oxford mini-storyline. That requires submitting a total of 100 theses, but it also requires you to go to Oxford each time they tell you to. So once they start telling you to visit the college, go there immediately and get the cutscene with Justine, etc. Repeat this process until all cutscenes have been viewed and you'll get the title.

Ah, gotcha. I have been doing that as well and I think I'm getting close to the ending. Hope so anyway :p
