It has 60 less sailors than MFCV and welcome melee is good but attack prevention net is more reliable activated every single time with escape boost so can't really say MSF is better than MFCV except the 8/8 > 6/6 improvement difference which is only temporary.

The reason why MFCV stays at 6/6 for now is because it's going to be too op if it go till 7/7 or 8/8 which mfcv can become an admiral ship, but yes this is temporary , the period between now til EA come out is the period where NM try to balance the prices of the NC ships before all of them can be modded till max. Also , welcome melee DO NOT ensure u to be safe from melee battle, I seen CLR taken down msf in melee battle countless times it just takes longer to kill one that's all. Attk prevent net is the real impt skill against melee type.

I think the other guy meant that crew size is 142 but require 130 minimum to sail the ship and use 5*16 cannons at maximum effectiveness (though most use carro14/cannon14/volk14/chi14 for now) so after losing >12 sailors your competitiveness goes downhill.

Perhaps random lotto draw isn't the best idea maybe say change the % of winning depending on how much people spend so say first $50 lower chance to win and as you spend more your chance to win top prizes increase but once you win resets to original patheticly low chance that way might lead to more customer satisfaction and fairness.

No mate, improve gunport do add damage indirectly, if you shoot at max range your damage drops so by extending the max range you're more likely/often to do high damage shots, it also improves your reload speed which obviously leads to more shots and makes it more likely that you'll be charged and ready for a shot at those critical moments.

they are still worth over 10 bil. the people who want them are getting them, dosent matter how many on server, few people sell them most keep them. Its not the number on the server, its the number available to buy on the server that indicates price.

All the idiots with ambushes found out really fast how easy first class ships are and have always been to sink. -1406 with cannon14, so cannon 16 and it drops like a regular first class.

Depending on how you use it, this is one of the BEST ships in the game. Welcome Melee is just....well, Sick. You can't be pillaged during melee, but you can sure pillage the other guy. Improved Gun Port is a BLAST as well. Good ship for melee OR Cannon fighting, take your pick. Overall a ship to fall in love with. It's not the ship, afer all, it's the captain that makes a ship. Maybe not for your type of PVP but there are lots of types of battles and not just yours. Worth every ducat and More. Add Oxford skills and you can do pretty much what you want, and be comfortable anywhere.

MSF 8/8 vs SF 5/5? official hull covers, maybe, 1 improvement, but with 5/5 you dont have means to get max sail power, as example (is silly to use masts... you need the dura)... A SF is just a improved Royal Frigate, with more dura and crew, but probably slower, while MSF is all around better if you improve it well

This ship had one more improve and more dura than MAV plus it's faster both on and out of battle and had improved gunport. It had less crew than MAV but both ship isn't for melee anyway and WM versus APN are just superior defense versus superior consistency can't definitively say which is better. Stop low balling.

MSuperF is a superior ship to this one... MSuperF is the upgraded version of the MSpecF much like the FIS is the upgraded version of the MIS.

really the only BIG difference in these boats though is the MSuperF is superior to the MSpecF. yes the MSuperF has slightly more armor and turn and wave but its not a huge difference.

neiter the MSpecF or the MSuperF are bad ships, it just depends on how you like to fight and how good your skills are. if you have the money i would buy the MSuperF because it is a superior ship to the MSpecF, but i have seen many higher lvl maritimers kill people in a MSpecF just as easily as any other ship.

which boat to get just depends on the money you have and finding someone selling the ship u want for a resonable price (and that will vary depending on how much you want the boat and how much the seller wants to get out of the boat).

Too many a time have I heard new or semi-new players winning top prizes in TBox within only 2-3 clicks, yesterday I was told a lv20-ish player won HSFCV and FCFV within 3 TBox, I am amazed, as me and my friends tend to spend hundreds upon hundreds to win those top prizes, not once, but many times, am I too suspicious or do others also think NM/CJ controlling the so-called lottery system? As a GM has put it, they believe when players have won ships they are much more likely to stay and commit in the game they have invested in and have been rewarded for their investment...

PEA and WMB on the same ship? This combo doesnt work together. PEA will disable your own WMB. Your ship needs a defuse or dismantle but its not worth it. Better off just grading and using as a material ship at this point. Stop trying to sell it as if its a good ship taking advantage of newer players that dont know about the PEA/WMB fail combo.

I didnt say its a "junk build".. Its an average build, I like the creativity in thinking to use the PEA in theory. But the way WMB/PEA work or dont work together makes it a failed build. I just dont want a newer player thinkin the combo works and gets ripped off.

It is not effective as PEA will definitely trigger opponent's WMB rendering your own WMB useless.

That said, PEA/WMB still works if you face a ship without WMB, such as a 3 skill FCV.

Not many ships have PEA anymore due to the number of ships with WMB. If only you had taken PEA as OSP skill it could be fixed. Good in theory, not in the field.
