It can show +145V +150H in the ship deed but the effective max is 110 as you say. In fact, having it showing +145/+150 is a sign of poor modding, as the last 35 V and 40 H are wasted.

in fact it's hard to get improvement exactly at its limit
sometimes you'd better go higher than the limit, in case you dont't get normal/GS result
CTG from 6/8 improvements if good improved should already maxed at sails, but who knows if you get bad results, let's say +100v/+105h sails? and you still have room for 2 more improvement from 6/8 to 8/8? ofc you'll want to maxed it, and it'll be higher than the limit

but i get your point guys, 6jack should've said "max sails" and refer or write +110v/+110h because that's the limit, instead of wrote +145v/+150h

that really depends on what ship the hunter is using don't it, bpa is nothing if hunter has CLR or FLR . It is more likely, a hunter will catch you coming out of port or just out of pirating battle they could be in MFCV or AFCV, they do not need a fast ship - 1 crit and sunk bpa or not ..

If you want this ship for pure pure piracy you would put heavy bombing to slow the enemy down to catch them up and melee but it takes up a skill slot and you don't have the 10 extra armouring from bpa if you get attacked by bounties

if you want a galley for pure pure pirating get a teak version as they are much faster increase oars, sails and turn with improves. you dont need heavy bombing , use abordage and put corvus' in the special equipment slots to 'grab' prey from greater distance. if bounty hunters are on yer azz then sail away get in port n swap into a battleship for them...

yes it certainly is needed , you do not need a 'pirate' build but more 'pvp' build,
Pirating any vessel should be pretty easy based purely on yer skills and crew numbers in this ship.
So what you really need is a build that helps you fight off any would-be bounty hunters/revenge retaliation. because thats the 'hard' part of being a 'Pirate'.

This ship has more value now with deck battle. 225 sailors, this ship is good for avoiding/forcing deck battle. Going 8/8 this ship can be modded very nicely and with canon chamber expansion part coming soon it could eventually be 5 broad. Sure its no mla, ala, rhg or clr but 700m is fair or even low for regular 8/8....also this doubles very good as an aide ship for cargo or aid reinforcement with the low sailing reqs...

Yes, much better. MF doesn't even have enough sailors to achieve max cannon power for 5 broadside. MF need atleast 120 sailors to achieve max fire power and after a few rounds of melee MF is done. CTG is a very underrated ship. 225 sailors helps you prevent being forced into deck. You can melee most ships other than other galleys. Also once the cannon expansion chamber comes out giving CTG 5 broadside capability itll be much more valueable. Id take a CTG over MF all day.

@ Kicker... waste 2 upgs? Infirmary cabin gives 4 sailors each with no fails. So 2 infirmary is 8 sailors. This only give your bare minimum sailors to do max cannon damage. Even from sailors dying from cannon fire you will be below min req sailors with just 1 lost sailor. You need atleast 2 upgs or 4 Infirmaries to compensate for sailors lost from rough waters.

AOG is more like a pirate ship. so DHP helps reach the enemy without getting slowed by critical hits, if he uses stern cannons. imo AOG is the 2nd best non_NC galley for pirating.

now now children , MF is good for grind which is for lowbie or newbie , some rich kids don't bother about lvl much , so MF is a good choice to grind skills with some rapid fire 6s and a MF to shot at mobs 1dmg for skills rank , but ctg is good with high turn and not too slow for starter pirate , with r4 rowing this ship can kill most of trading ships , because they can't move in battle , but don't dream about adv ships because they way faster than this ship

imo adv and battle ships are a total different story. adv ships are the faster when sailing in deep sea, but in battle things change. in battle speed is affected from cargo, armour, rows if they exist and turn speed if you try to turn. ofc sails affect speed in battle (see MF is faster than a vaisseau). using an adv ship for pirating will make it easier for you to catch someone in open sea. but what about in battle? you may miss your target. but if you are in a galley and catch someone? his chances to escape are a lot less.

It depends upon what skills/abilities or pluses you want on the ship.
It depends upon if a ship builder is in your company and gives company discounts.

It may also depend upon what else is going on in the game because the price of ship parts can fluctuate or you might just get lucky and find someone selling things cheap or you might make some of the parts yourself.

For the initial build look at the cost of a vanilla ship or of a similar one of that type and double it plus the cost of any parts if you are having a level 20 ship builder build it.

You can do the mods yourself if you are fleeted with the SB and they can charge anywhere for from nothing to 30 or 40 million per fleeted build. It just depends.

I can tell you this, as an r20 builder make sure you have all the parts needed before you start. Know where the ship can be built and don't waste the builders time and they will be more likely to give you a break on the cost

Lastly don't complain about the cost being too high. If you really think that then go get the skill and spend 18 months leveling it and spending hundreds in real money playing the Treasure Box slot machine to get the "Secrets of Shipbuilding" which is the only way to go from r19 max to r20 max but is not available all the time.

The only way to get one is by playing the Treasure Box when it is available.
You typically have to spend anywhere from about $30 to $50 US dollars to get one random ship that is in the treasure box.

This ship is joke actually. The game is skills driven not levels driven. If you spend a lot to get one at low level you still get sunk because you don't have the skills to win a fight with anything big anyway.

Rather than spending so much on time gathering ducats for a ship you don't have the skills to use use a smaller ship and grind up the battle skills.

I can almost guarantee if you are barely able to sail this ship you will not have the vigor or skills to use it.

Yeah, I'm a grumpy about this but it is true.

What stupidness is this? Of course that would be the outcome is noobs try to use NC ships for ***PVP***, but the whole reason they're so desirable is you can mod the hell out of them to make grinding those skills and levels a breeze.

This maybe old news but i just saw this. PCG has ended their partnership with CJ. Programs affected are:

Uncharted Waters Online: Mentor Program, UNIT
District 187: District Attorney's Program, Allied Tester Group
Arcane Saga Online: Sentinels of Prius, Arcane Saga Guardians
Dice Venture: N/A.

You notice that 2 out of the 4 games has already shut down? Before you just hear it and laugh at it, then you started to feel it an ignore it now you actually see it. I think in my opinion UWO will be next soon, maybe by the end of this year. Here are some of the reasons:
- No event or announcement for the 3rd aniv
- Go to seville, less players are shouting to buy or sell
- Sail all over the map, no more or less pirates
- GMs are hard t find
- TBox didn't change. usually 3 weeks.
- Reading comments from gpotato, uwo fb, nm sites and a lot complaining about how they can't access the game (launcher, world missing, game crash, etc)
- Haven't even given the esbts, god cannons/gears, etc. which i dont think they will change anymore because of the partnership.

I hope i am wrong as i've been playing this game for 2 years now :(
