+1 Management ... Worth it

getting an aide for the sole purpose of getting plus one to navigation, management, or arms is shortsighted at best. Put the work in and work it up because at some point you will outgrow the need for it and unless the aide has a good number of other beneficial skills then you leveled it up for nothing.

Well ,I have Navigation Rank 10 ,Arms Rank 10 ...These special skills are easier to rank up even without 2x SP event ,But Management needs a 2x SP and 24/7 of work ..It's a true pain in the butt

idk, i made r10 management without really trying, it just happened along the way. The thing people don't really understand is that you need to do any and all production that you ever do at sea while moving in a ship that has some kind of ship skill. Great success III and IV are a huge help, but if you are a caster or do handicraft or even cooking this shouldn't be an issue. Go make sherry or cannons or salted fish with nuts and it'll happen.

Consumables, gear, food and recipes that gives high output, like sherry wich gives 3-4 goods each recipe seems to give more proficiency to the management skill, also be sure to be on a ship that has a skill and be moving around while producing. Do not get Juliana solely because of maagement skill cause she will be a paperweight when you hit the rank 10 of the skill. Get me instead......im the best shipbuilder aide with also amazing skills on surgery job and that can help rowing ships a lot on navigation job and the breakwater skill.

Actually, the idea that Aides who give +1 to Navigation/Management/Arms are doomed to become "paperweights" is a dated view. In future updates (Age of Revolution: Chapter 1 and beyond), those three skills will have their level caps raised and go up to R15; as new recipes and ship skills will be introduced to take advantage of this, the ability to boost those three skills will become quite important, particularly since currently no one job favors all three.
We're still in Atlantis Chapter 2, of course, and should have two full updates to go before AoR begins, but UWO is a game that rewards advance planning. Just something to keep in mind. Cheers.
