Cornelia's got a point. That was indeed a retarded statement. The great thing about this game is that it makes players ranging from 10-65, from all around the world to interact in a fun way. It is interesting that like RL, the game has a good share of mentally retarded people (dont mean no ofence, its a sickness), that are a important element of the game. Senior players (ya, old timers) makes the best, most dedicated players. What we really lack now are agressive angry pirates. Not like lodian, but those crazy sickos that would attack even their moms. Challanging level is too low

Because plunder is not required for this research. You need r11 in one of these skills : Guard, Assault, Gunfire, Tactics.

Rare item plunder skill works quite good, it increases drop rate of rare stuff just a bit though, not significantly. do not expect that rare stuff will fall in your pockets, you still have to work hard for em.

Unbelievable these posts today, all u ppl not in PAC know nothing of what happens in our comp. we dont give free ships to ppl, we have alot but we earned them, all my boats i bought with ducats earned in game. I been there from the beginning and we just have strong ppl who like to do Maritime. We have more active players than most comp, more ppl online any time during the day, thats why we have a strong comp. More good ppl to help out. It DOES work in PVP. It raises your chances on plundering high end items such as Six secrets, mojlnir, SSB1, HASC and other higher end items. Not just crap cannons and sails all the time.

The problem is that 95% of the pirates in the game sucks and dont know a crap about they own skills. Some dont even grind plunder cause "it only increase the food and water you stole"... impressive the number of newbs with level in the game. They are just grinders.

So, there's currently a college lecture for this skill's thesis. My friend and I do not have r11 in any of the skills needed to access the thesis normally; that said, my friend can take the thesis (the closest they have to skill requirements is r9 gunfire), but I cannot see it.
Submissions shouldn't be a problem, since I have completed the college storyline, and have 300 submissions. I do have tactics and assault, but they're both only r1 as I'm mostly an adventuring type. Is there a reason why I can't see the Rare Item Plunder thesis despite the lecture being ongoing, like I need to have tactics/assault/guard/gunfire within X amount of ranks, or what?

Under lecture conditions a thesis that normally requires r11 you can do at r7, and those that require r7 or r2 you can do at r2 or 0 respectively.

Is this skill nerfed?? It' seems it doesnkt work or at least it gives a very small % increase. I tried to plunder engineer's chest and Mannequin (Lean M) with this skill on but it was useless, no rare items... I, I just ended with tons of hostility towards venice. I had better results with just plunder and seize cargo from aide, I plunderer 2 chests in less than 5 hours.
It poped to my when I had assault base rank 11 + over 90 thesis + college thesis event. No plunder r10 neither another unlisted requeriment.

Considering the fact that a the base rare item drop rate might be 1%, I believe this skill raises it a bit. And you SHOULD be using this with seize cargo. 2 chests in 5 hours? I get maybe 3-4 every hour...

This is not a tech. It is an Oxford skill. Like other other Oxford skills the thesis will show up when talking to the Oxford professor if you meet the requirements. Which is a base (unmodified) rank of 11 or more in one of these skills. Guard, Assault, Gunfire, Tactics.

I think you also have to progress enough in the college event stories for the research to pop up. If you look in the research results tab under research info it shows your event progress % before the next college story event. Just keep submitting reports to raise the %
