I think some people need to read up on what piracy actually is, yes granted its easier for pirates to hit traders at ports than out at sea all pirates camp ports, and as there ships wont allow them to go far or faster than a trader can out at sea, yet the safest place for a trader is at a port, wait till they dock or sail the wrong way, watch him for 5mins you'll learn how to avoid him check his ships stats/cargo you'll get an idea of when he needs to dock to get provisions etc see how you can turn that to your advantage instead of just rushing out hoping he or any other pirate wont attack, and why should he fight a BH or another pirate if he knows he cant win, doesn't make him a fake just makes em sensible the last thing any pirate wants is to lose there bounty and have to stop pirating for an hour

@Emma I can confirm this one day I was leaving seville and Wolf_Fang pmed "nice ship". Later that day his alt Principi pmed me wanting to buy my boat, which was quite strange since I never meet him before or seen his alt since I was in EA doing Nanban and there was on one in the area sailing at the moment.

Ya this all make sense now, I remember how Wolf_fang was trying to get me to sell my FIM since cheap it has less cargo than RLG so it should worth much less and I should sell it to him. That same day Principi trying to buy my same ship using the exact same example Wolf_Fang used earlier that day.
