i still dont get how this skill works. 2 ships "collide" and the game makes a roll whether melee starts or not? if so, how often are these rolls done? can anybody explains this ?

Seems like a pretty simple concept. The name says it all. Yes, your ship will be turtle like for 55-70% of the time.

"your ship will be turtle like for 55-70% of the time" i do get this, but it still does not explain how often these percentages are "rolled", i.e. once every 5 seconds of contact? 10? other criteria?

I wonder, what happens when you put this on a Turtle Ship, should be posible with skill inheritance.
Does it stack, does it change anything?

This is one of the few ship skills that you cant pass on to other ships with skill inheritance (the others being Direct Hit Prevention and Rowing Asst though I think the latter can only be inherited on rowing ships) so youd be very hard pressed to find an answer for that. Im not sure if they can still show up on cash shop turtles won through the cove as a random skill selection though.
