So, when your own ship is on fire, and it clashes with another, does it really take a skill for the other one to catch a fire? And if you want to set something on fire, do you even need to be on fire yourself? :)

And yeah, I just can't wait to catch a fire in battle, so instead of extinguishing it, I can then run around chasing the other guy and use up 30 vigour so we can both be on fire.

It causes MAJOR fire as it says, major fire cant be extinguished easilly and makes more damage as well, but yes i cant see it being really usefull to go pursuing someone else to melee with own ship on fire

Ya when you use this skill do you automatically lightup yourself or is the skill limited to when you are on fire for other reasons like enemy using fire cannons.

when you use it you light yourself on fire....so you can turn it on when really close to melee someone, and causes major fire wich makes you loose some water on cargo(making it harder for you to surgery afterwards melee) and can cause sail damage, not counting a lot of damage each 5 secs from the fire itself...its a fun skill

the damage is 10% of ship current dura(both got damaged), not max dura

this is a magor pain in the ass for the enamy i used 30-40 fire buckets to git rid of the fire this skill sets

I experimented with this, after I light myself up I cannot put the fire out with R8 firefight, I guess rank doesn't even matter cause the message I see is something like there will have no effect using this skill now" or something along those lines.
