does it say slows or STOPS - its probably only momentary, try getting your cannon skills up critical's slow a ship better than heavy bombing

i confirm - mines stopped the ship like gun crit, BUT damage is reduced by 2.5 -3 times

in the hands of a pro this skill is annoyingly deadly and could get you killed. its reduced damage is insignificant. the bottom line here is that it stops enemy which opens up a window for allies to get a crit up your arse. if you've been to BC lately, theres a funny looking mssx (a freaking xebec!) there that uses this skill and trolls high end nc ships like a boss.

it's a terrable weapon against the non-nc high end ships though, these people mostly tank, just like HB, Moored Mines is useless against these people. they are mostly slow and sluggish and people mistake them for easy targets. though v.s. sniping ships it's very effective
