I've gotten man eating sharks around my ship lots of times, yet its never done anything.

From what I heard if your sailing in a Heavy ship type the sharks wont do anything to you. Never had any problems with them myself even when I was sailing in Light and Standard ships back in the day...

Ship type does matter. I used to lose sailors to sharks all the time when traveling between London and Scandinavia in a school sloop, but they never touched me after I moved up to a Cruise Light Clipper.

Yes, only light class ships can lose sailors by sharks, stnadard and heavy arent affected
