No. I've answered a "Request Reinforcements" call in the past. Anyone who accepts the request is added to the battle on the side of the requesting person.

this skill not give you any convoi to help you, but it will allow other person help you in battle.
- so anyone who click at request reinforce will added to the battle on the side of the requesting person.

Any player(s) within range of you when the skill is activated can join the battle to help you against whatever enemy you're facing.

Not a very useful skill IMO unless you have planned it out in advance with other players. Id use Reinforcement Orders for those occasions.

The skill which when used will give NPC to help in the battle is Request Convoy

Ottomans NPC LOVE to use this skill.....but I've never encountered a NPC responding to another NPC's cries for help before.....is it possible, or are the NPC just wasting vigour?

Not sure about other NPCs, but I know other players can jump in. A comp member of mine was hitting on flagged NPCs around Calicut when one of them used this. A player pirate happened to sail by, got accepted to join in, and comp mate got meleed to death from him.

It is rather unlucky for a player pirate to chance by a battle grind. Either the player should avoid grinding in unsafe waters (not sure if it works even in safe waters), avoid that particular NPC, or probably KOEI should really look to remove this skill from NPCs to allow players to simply engage the NPC and not let another player intercept and spoil the grind.

In essence, KOEI should just remove this skill from NPCs. It can be very confusing to both parties (for NPC and vs. NPC side). Maybe the NPC should have a replacement skill to request nearby NPCs only for help as this will make it more "fair".

I actually think it'd be interesting if you could protect flagged NPC fleets from players, and gain points with their nation (like when you correspond with an Aide). But I can understand why some folks would want it changed -- I'd be a little displeased if I was fighting NPCs, and suddenly a player pirate jumped to their defense, at my expense.

well, if you think about it it won't make that much of a change as you think it does. If a pirate sees someone battling some NPC, no matter what the NPC is, whether it is flagged or using this skill, the pirate will simply, kill its sails, wait until the battle is over, then ambush the poor guy.

However, if non-pirates see someone fighting a NPC using this skill, they will simply deem it as their grinding skills or trying to plunder a rare item and will not interfere (well, most of them!).

Furthermore, if a player helps the NPC to kill another player, wouldn't that make the first player a pirate too, even if the other player started the fight first?

I like what Guilder said, though. maybe apart from gaining points from the NPC nation, the player will also lose points from the player who attacked the NPC in the first place?

We have to consider if it was used in safe waters and someone can walk in and spoil a grind. If a player is grinding in unsafe waters, it is anyone's right to attack anyone before, during or after the grind interval and is fair game. If a newbie is grinding off in safe waters and somehow an NPC let's off a Request reinforce and a player comes in to ruin the newbie's day, it might not have a good after taste for the game although I am not sure if any fleet in european and east med. region a newbie (below maritime lv30+) would grind off would have this skill.
