how to grind steering, r1 = 1 day sailing to get 1-2pt, r5 = need to sail 5 days to get 4-6pt. r10 = 10days sailing to get 9-11pt. r5 only sailing 3 days wont get any point, good luck

increasing ship speed turn IS important.

reducing sea mine damage IS important.

Those two alone are reason enough to get the skill. Anything else would be bonus.

To really feel the effectiveness of this skill you need to store it on skillshelf, you will see your ship moving very sluggish in battle having a lot of trouble to even do simple turns. This is one of the most basic skills on maritime and a very important one, also it helps too when travelling in general, definetevelly a must have skill.

Here is the formula of its grinding, you have steering rank X, and is on a sea with Y max waves, so after X days sailing you get Y proficiency on the skill, the wave that count is the one you are when the X days run out, so if you start sailing X-1 days on other sea and then change to other sea the Y that will count will be this last one of the sea you just changed to

@Carla. not sure about that. but since you dont get more proficiency, on evansion, when you get crited, sea mines may not give more prof on steering.

am guessing no steering don't rank from hitting mines do to the fact that NPC don't use mines and you cant rank skills in PvP

Steering does gain prof in PVP battles such as BC.

Heh. But even if they said yes, that'd still open the door for extortion/blackmail, which those under the name of USD have been guilty of in the past, and also be grounds for banning per OGP's rules. Better to buy astros (whether the currency or just astro items in particular) in the game to support its running, and sell them to your fellow players. Everybody wins, and nobody is permanently banned.

Bugs have been present in the game since day one, but they routinely get squashed, and disappear. New ones may turn up from time to time, but they will be dealt with, and removed. Also, the richest people I know made their wealth from a combination of Nanban trade, and selling astro/bottle items. And the idea that top battle players like [CA]Battousai would ever sell/buy gold is just laughable.

At this point, I'm starting to think you're looking more for attention, rather than actual "business", but nevertheless feel obligated to point out the dangers of dealing in illegal gold selling/buying. I'm sad it creates spam on a site intended to provide game information, advice, and strategies, but refuse to remain silent on the matter.
