This skill is completly useful if you are smart enough to know when to use it.

Actually, this skill has it's up and down's. Like those comments above, each time you get shot at is a critical hit but ultimately will save your life. But apart from that you can easily replace your ships durability with MCCT's which aren't that expensive at first. Also I'm assuming this isn't a nice skill for you to escape player pirates with since they'll come back to you every time so I guess this is only good for NPC's (if your ship is fast then you have a 50-50 chance of making it out alive from player pirates but you gotta be quick about it and go to port or they'll come after you).

Honestly, useless. By the time you efectively can use it, your ship can evade npcs without need this. And a critical... when hit ship lose speed, so dont help a lot evading players

Utter waste of a skill slot. It might appear useful to newbies, but trust us, it isn't.

If you need to escape NPCs, just stock CFAs and/or tribute goods. You can get tribs from any Mogul in starting cities for about 30k each, if you can't make them yourself.

This skill can be very effective If used properly... I will list the uses and advantages

1.Toggle Method: you begin to flee at full speed and you toggle it off and on between the enemy cannon volley

2.Suicide with 0 losses method: Use the skill to let them sink you with cannon shots. Once you're sunk you have protected your cargo as they cant rob you unless they melee or DB you so use rescue or life saver and keep going

3.Speed Boost in battle: use this VERY carefully but when used right you can speed up to ships for DB or melee

4.Turbo Boost in battle: EA,Rowing,Escape when used all at once makes an EXTREMELY fast ship add plating to that and watc your ship FLY!

5.Escape mines: when used with mines they can be placed over a larger area quicker very good for cutting off the enemy ship range of motion.
