Need Adventure level 10, Trade level 40, Battle level 10, and a combined level total of 80 to change into job. Costs 500k to change into it with card. The quest to get it is called "Casting workshop administrator troubles" from the Cape Town Business Mediator. Needs R3 Navigation, R5 Management, and R3 Arms to pull it (I didn't have Arms myself, but I was able to leech it from another fleet member who had it and got quest after about using 7-8 QMPS. Not sure if you can do this with Navigation and Management though). Deliver 200 Chrome Ore to the Casting supervisor guy in Manchester in the factory.

Jobs are not linked to ships, you can sail anything with any job

Marfisa

Yeah, I know, but cause this job favour management skill, navigation and arms I thought that maybe there's some ships with their own special skill that is better if you have favourite all this 3 together.

Welcome back. I've been told having r30 navi/management (r15 base + boost equips) removes clermont aide ship speed drop; otherwise I'm unaware of any particular bonuses of interest related to them as you've described.

I think there's a job research / college Assoc skill specific for this job that boost ship speed while on steam ship or using SE skill something. there's also this Master of Steam says that only consume 1coal per day. haven't tried both so not quite sure :D

Wow , that title isn't bad at all.
It could make using a steam ship worth it and not only as an aid ship

The "Master of Steam" title reduces coal fuel consumption by 1/3. During industrial revolution (IR), it reduces fuel consumption by 1 per day (since the normal rate of consumption is 3 coal fuel per day). Outside the IR period, the title reduces coal fuel consumption by 6 (since the normal rate of consumption is 18 coal fuel per day). To get to 1 fuel consumption per day during IR, you need both (1) "Master of Steam" title and (2) R15 management.

So do you mean that is it worth a try of using a clermont as a main ship or not? Cause I heard that the coal it is quite expensive and I don't know how many money players generally sells the boat itself so maybe 2 ships could be also that quite expensive?

Yeaph, only during IR, better to have 3 different country for each toons for more chance of IR.

I don't know where to ask this so I will write here cause it is a little bit correlated: is there any good ship that is an hybrid between a trade and battle one? Cause for now I didn't find anyone where I could use sucessfully the arms skill.

Marfisa, you don't need an hybrid ship for that, just get any ship with one skill, it doesn't have to be a battle skill, and you don't need to have the reqs to use the skill either, and go to battle with it, even your school frigate works, you get exp for battle won, so most people just use AOS in the black sea
