Try a little bit of research on different sites for more info, do a little digging, detective work, utilize translator sites, it will give you a sense of excitement, achievement and make the game fun instead of tedious.

i have never professed, stated or otherwise implied to know all- i do not and i have made many inaccurate/incorrect statements on here- i ask my friends online for info about 1 or 2 adventure quests recently because until about a month ago id never done any

Well, this site is great for asking questions as the comments form is left open to those not logged in. An asked question that receives an answer is a contribution to the UWO community. I being a noob and only human have asked many dumb questions to which most have had helpful replies. I in turn have answered and added to as many questions as I can. Because of all of us doing the same this site has become a great resource for a great game that is quite involved but lacks English documentation which would otherwise create a barrier to newer players if not for us all sharing what we have learned along the way.

Port Official : yeah, never mind the three archive skills favored, plus unlock. If it does not have search, which is the easiest adv skill to max, so it must be a bad job. Huh-huh.

Did the quest today, got the permit, switched to Historian. But before I did I checked the favored skills for Treasure Hunter, and Search is now listed among them.

The site doesn't list search as favored skill, even do though Treasure Hunter has it, at least now (Papaya)

That was intentional; one of the past updates added Search as favored for the Treasure Hunter job, which is pretty nice. Im still baffled why they chose to keep Crafts trading as favored. I cant recall any situation where'd you need to buy crafts except maybe if you were doing a bit of nanban on the side. I would have replaced it with Theo or Rec skill.
