Only the opossum discover is required. Ecology 4, Biology 6. the map can be gotten in any of the colonies with a high level of development. Then get the quest in Santo Domingo. Be warned that the quest requires a high-level sea battle. AoS recommended. Then a mid-level land battle. After that, enjoy the Ancient city of the Aztecs! Tenochtitlan! Mexico City! :)

You can go in if you fleet with someone who's already finished the quest. Not sure if you get the discovery that way or not. (I think not)

It's worth mentioning that there are at least five items which can be found in this city through Special Search -- meaning that if you use the Search skill (apparently it's best to do so by the altar before the pyramid, but I'm told the light likes to move around, so check elsewhere in town if you don't see it there), regardless of your skill rank, an Observe-styled column of light may appear close by; if it does, use Search again in the center of that light, and you'll get a random item from this list:

Golden Clothes Trunk
Golden Bookends
Jaguar Warrior's Sword
Eagle Warrior's Spear
Gold Falda

If there are any other items besides those, I'm yet to get them. It also looks like once an item is found, there's a few hours in-between before the column of light reappears. Good luck, fellow treasure-hunters.
