you need 60+ formality to be able to speak to the cardinal before you can make initial invest but Seville is currently maxed so why not invest in Malaga or Barcelona initially as soon as you make 100k invest this gets your 1st court rank (+1 bank vault space per court rank) and your formality lvl required to speak cardinal drops

You can defect to any "weaker" nation without correspondence (but skill is needed to go to a "stronger" nation or ottoman)
Anyways, you dont need to invest a Seville for Vaisseau, you can build it in any capital (and i think Ceuta has it too). Of course, invest needed and r14 SB to see the ship.

OGplanet fixed the tow and logout glitch in the last patch. Now if you use tow and logout in one of the supply ports in Northern Russian waters only your base or special tow port will show up. No more 5 minute quick tows to Seville!
