As I have explained, many, MANY times.
The December update in Japan (which we are now in) made it so **R5** quarters can have an extra room where ornaments can be displayed for special effects.
Whenever I have said this I have also mentioned that the avoidance of battle due to 'ornament effect' was a bug. Yesterday I found confirmation of this in some update notes.
