Why is it that only French and Dutch characters can buy this part at there Capital Cities(Marseilles and Amsterdam) Craftsman for 4m? That is so utterly ridiculous. All the General ships parts should be available in all 6 of the starter cities after say, 10m invested. To nationally differentiate certain General Ships Parts is completely ludicrous, because some parts will be in much higher demand, making some nationalities characters very rich re-selling those parts at a horrendous mark-up(ie: there are 10 of these for sale in London company stores for 10-12m per, meaning a 150-200% mark-up). Or am I alone in thinking that this is totally absurd?

I think it is about diversity. If you want buy one, then defect or ask friend from that nation.

You can easily get around this by creating an alt and leaving him (or her) there whenever you need said part...

The game design I'm sure is to encourage players to interact. Although in this case I would question why you would bother using a "general" part. There are equal or better parts that players of all nations can make.

@Wystein This is the only non Astros FS part aside from E. Asia Nanban Trade Ship Hold (which is expensive and hard to make) that gives boost to cargo hold without penalizing other areas of the ship, mainly crew space, so I wouldn't knock this down. Plus FS parts sold in bazaars and company shops do tend to be marked up, so unless you need a specific FS part for a ship skill, these "general" parts can be useful for those tight on money and lack the means to craft them themselves.
