Well, lets remark the fact that you can put any FS part (excepting obsiously row parts in non row ships) in any ship, but if you tried setting nanban trade (which i assume because of the FS intended) you wont get it, not all ships gets same skills, you acquired cargo increase, but again, the skill wont appear since its not available for ETC unless it came as the random skill when opening ship ticket, sorry to hear my friend

I want nanba preference skill to be inherited from a material ship.

What are the chances of failure or succes if material ship is g0 and the ship to be graded up is g0 too?

Chances for failures are g0 to g0 are 100%. NTP have a low chance for success even with Good Rate.
I recommend when inherit find any town with fusion bonus and NTP material ship and Improved ship should have full handling proficiency bcz add like 3%.

1. G3 NTP material ship G0 Improved ship
2. G1 NTP or G2 NTP + 1 Large Ship Blueprint
3. G3 NTP + 1 or 2 Large Ship Blueprint for G2 Improved ship

PS: Fusion is all about the luck with a decent rate. I personally I got success with 56% with G1 NTP +1 LSB and got fail with G2/G3 with @65% or something like that.
Usually I sell NTP mat ships can ask me if u wanna buy one.
