Plating is extra armor whereas Panelings is FS SB improvement parts :)

have you sailed to jaffa? then you will know it dont take long so
go there again and check and keep doing that until you get teak paneling because its not available yet, not until EA expansion ok

reminder: i dont say that i got/made a teak panel but only cedar and red pine panel. so, im not 100% sure it will be the same as for teak panel.

now look at NM uwo market forum tamandare picture of BTC and you will notice there is no change in the ships dura +/- as there would be if you changed from red pine to cedar with panel as it changes the material used it would drop dura
basicly someone built this ship using cedar whereas most sb skip past the choice section

fine ill tell you guys. it comes from the craftsmans florence recipe. Ive had teak and cedar panelling show up in the handicraft florence recipe for a couple hundred florence points...wish i knew what it was when i had it...i wouldve jumped on the recipe right away

Yes, you can. The normal cost at Seville is 5-6m But if you're a crafter, it is better to do it yourself.

if you are a crafter and plan to make a bunch and sell, then it is better to craft it yourself. Otherwise is not worth to spend a day to make it.
you need to get a teak plating. There are 2 ways to get it: (1) buy from ports in red sea/india. (2) get a recipe from aden, then use lumbers+irons to make it.
then turn the teak plating to Hardened teak plating with coal (recipe from Bergen).
Then get Antifouling paint (even harder to make - gonna spend you another day, or 2-3m from company/bazaar). Then proceed the final step at 1 of the cities shown above..
You can easily earn 5m 10m in 30 mins from noob dungeons.

improve with panel ,dismantle then do the full improves
dismantle removes everything (except panel) and resets all refits so any increase /decrease in hull etc is reset also

Tico, 660k is enough, I just did that and recipe appeared.

Maybe you don't have Handicrafts R12, this may be the reason you don't see the recipe.
