r1 firearms trading with at least plus 4 in item boosters or college skill boosters or any combination of the two will work just fine.

the is a +1-2 to trade skills from the college. So I have 15+2 casting and 4+2 firearms and I still cannot make the custom cannons in Pernambuco. What am I doing wrong?

central capical/metropolis is need 40k(all 3 things..adv,merchant,mari)..
for example...giving discovery in town official,given certain item to item shop, giving improve ship shipyard master...

min 1m invest might be needed too...if you havent invest that is..

Can someone clarify this for me? What does it take to get the colony to metropolis state? I can't figure this out for the life of me, please reply in good english if possible, as I think this is contributing to the problem. Thank you.

The colony has already reached metropolis state.

Invest 1m, talk the NPC, and you should see the desired recipes in the Production options window.

I just made a very interesting observation. If you click on a company administration officer in any major city, there's a "production" option. Under it, a number of useful recipes can be found, for all production skills. The custom cannon/carronade(14) ones are among them, which means you can produce the memo album maestro guns in any major city. No real need to bother about central capital status, investment or a trip to carib at all - for this particular task. The produced maestros happily go to the memo album (confirmed with my company mate).

I don't know if that's old news, but I just noticed it today. The production option has been there for at least a few months and the relevant recipes look stable (they don't change e.g. monthly or weekly). At least the storage and handi ones that I had seen in the past have been there for around four months at least.

It could be a company perk, or a world clock thing, but it's worth checking if you or a friend are after this casting memo album.

Good eye. It's a relatively new company perk that popped in some patches ago; even if you're a one-member company with no contributions whatsoever, those recipes show up at any Company Administration Office in the game. IIRC, Caribbean MA Sail recipes also show up there.
