As you head out of Nantes towards Plymouth, you should find a decent spot. I have yet to find a really good spot for these however.

The best spot I've found is the small bay where Nantes is, but you have to be really really close to land, like almost running aground, even actually running aground (hey that's what lumber and repair skill are for :-)). So sailing north to south along that little cove and back, almost touching the ground for 12 days, I'm getting like 80 - 100 oysters. Collecting at r9 and (very important) college skills Field Activities 1 and Field Activities 2 both loaded. It's advisable to also load at least one of the Reduced Disaster Frequency college skills and/or carry some "decoy" trade goods too, as you don't want your hard-collected oysters burned or eaten by rats.

Found a good spot in Arafura Sea, inside the large gulf east of Kakadu. Small island 6576,5782 i also get shrimp and seaweed.

For me the best spot in Europe is 16269, 2504 between Dover and British Isles South. There u can collect Shrimps and Oysters at the same time.

with r6 collection not a single oyster was collected at the bay near Nantes even after ten minutes, but i finally caught one between Dover and British Isles South. Heh I guess having a high collection rank greatly increases the chances of catching this.

It seems the new port of Le Havre sells this after some investment. So French toons or defection tourists may want to bear it in mind. Would make cooking oyster omelette for +90 vig/fat a wee bit less of a PITA.
