Do dungeon or spice runs on company in fleet for em to make enough money to buy the amber thing, in paralel another group fish a bit of those fishs and do both contribs, attakcing on two fronts at once. These hard contribs really differenciates those company filled with just alts from those filled of cooperative and active players.

this hasn't shown up for me yet since oxford came out, but i know from experience with tuna that field activities I and II are extremely helpful with this, minimum catch of 4. I also learned to bring the basil and lots of vig food with me so i could collect brine, make salt, and cook the fish as i caught them to save them from the rats

even at r21 fishing Arapaima will only show up 1-3 at a time, with field activities I and II running it's a 4 catch minimum. Tested and confirmed, draw your own conclusions.

The rest of it seems a valid info though. The base catch appearing to be 1-3, 4-6 with the oxford skills.
A stable, yet rare catch. It's got me an average of 70 per hour (a testing period - 3 hours).

Just past the landing point, at 13468,4827 seems to be a better spot for me. Have caught over 200 (with both oxfords) in about an hour. Have not checked out the southern stream.

These are surprisingly common in terraria, (anyone who played will understand this, anyone else, stop reading so you don't get confused lol.) After beating the Wall of flesh, you'll find these everywhere in the jungle biome.

I'm having much better luck near the end of the southern stream - 13384, 4974. Mostly mullet, piranha and Arapaima.

You can catch these hand over fish, er, hand over fist in the Paraguay River Upstream inland zone. The one and only fishing spot's just east of the entrance; as you don't have to deal with sea disasters like rats, fires, or the occasional pirate inland, I'd say it's quite an idea place to seek them if you can reach it.
