It's strange because I'm unable to find it on the Jap wiki, but the fact that it's here implies it does in fact exist. :/

Theres also one hidden in Cinnabar Island in the Pokemon House!

(But to be serious, I never seen it anywhere and never heard about it being produced/purchased/Procured)

So! i did some researches and found nothing named Moonstone... But! Theres one item i found on Website thats not part of Ivyro Precious Stones and is named とんぼ玉 (So something like Dragonfly Ball (Sorry not awsome for japanesse). I mean, its the only stone not on ivyro and moonstone the only stone not on the website. I dont mean this said Dragonfly Ball is the Moonstone, but those two are the only ones MIA :P

Ive done hundreds of shipwrecks and archive treasure maps and have yet to encounter this. Ive also done collecting on every land area, and have not encountered this either.

Considering it's not even mentioned on the Japanese wiki (I checked everywhere), I wonder if this only existed in pre-beta, and for whatever reason, never made it to the final finished form of the game.

I saw that too, Ash, and it's something different.

Thank you both. BlakeC's explanation makes sense, now I can sleep without wondering.

No Chrono Trigger references? I'm very disappointed. But yeah, this is one of what I like to think of as the UWO DB's unsolved mysteries -- things that exist in the DB, yet can be found nowhere in the game, or even in various Asian wikis. Closest I ever got to figuring out this trade good's existence was this Korean-to-English translation:

"Although we have not yet been implemented in the online age, we will introduce it in advance because it will be the one to appear someday. Haha"
    URL: m.blog.daum.net/sweet89/1409453 (dated 07/14/2012)

BlakeC's probably right with the guess about it being beta related. Or maybe it really will be introduced one day in the future? I still wonder how it came to be mentioned in the DB at all, complete with an icon... and there are those -other- unsolved mysteries... but I digress. Cheers, and sleep well.

Not sure what the big draw and fascination with this is. Its just a trade good much like Inca rose or turquoise and it cant be crafted into anything useful. UWO is a game of discovery after all so curiosity fuels the need to know for some I guess. Good Luck with your search for the elusive Moonstone :P

It exists in the DB, but can be found nowhere in any version of the game, meaning its value, possible crafting purposes, and the like are mysteriously unknown. Even how it came to be in the DB is a mystery. I love a good mystery, and love unraveling them even more, so that's why I'm intrigued by such oddities. Isn't the allure of the unknown and exploring it a big motivator for most of us Age of Exploration fans, though?

Gonna thinking that this good will be part of Rare Goods when Order of the Prince patch arrives

No... The rare goods system does not introduce any new goods, re-read whatever you've read about the system before making comments like that.

8 years after the initial question, we have our answer: this trade good appears in a future Legacy zone from Chapter 2: Ephesos & Rhodes.

    Source: gvo.gamedb.info/wiki/?Update%2F20Rhodes%A1%F5Ephesos

The central clue/discovery for the Legacy theme "Ephesus, the land of goddess worship" is where it can be obtained. More information to follow in time I suppose; cheers.

Note: it is recognized as an Indian region specialty trade good.

Can be obtained by searching in yellow pillar spot in legacy inland "Temple of Artemis in Ephesus". Extremely high chance to obtain, however, the price of this trade goods.. is quite disappointing. Only around 92-97 ducats in Balkan area, despite treated as an Indian region speciality goods.

Okay, just got 1,5k of this moonstone (collected from Ephesus legacy) to East Asia, hoping it had any nanban power. Turn out it don't.

The 4 nations where with low backstock to precious stones (what is good for nanban), i used a equip to increasen nanban trade rates (r10) and my ship had NTP.

Even so (without NPC, i'm not wasting it in a lame trade) i could trade 1,5k cargo for 80 nanban goods at the max in all nations... very disapoiting, hu? :)
