I have noticed that the main difference between tarot cards and silver tarot cards seems to be the frequency of the "effect uppon expire".

Just a hunch, but I think the Gold tarot cards have a much better chance of firing off the expiration effect than the silvers do.

Now here's the part where somebody posts to fuss at me for taking a wild-eyed guess.

Gold tarot gives The World, The Magician, The Hermit, The Emperor. They are a bit better than Silver tarot, depending on what effect do you really want. You can get The World with Silver tarot too.

I have heard that the "Magician" tarot will also increase the chance of "great success" whilst ship improving (during it's very short activated period).

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

i buy gold tarots for 3mil at most. if a player wants id rather farm some silver tarots and alchemist tarots for the world and magician tarots, the other gold tarots effects i dont need.
