Forgive my ignorance about all things cannons, but this cannon has 300+ more piercing power than Carronade 14s (and needs less materials to make) but you almost always see Carronade 14s being made, sold and used. What's the problem with Cannon 14s?

Hmm... ok. But with high Gunnery, Accuracy and Ballistics, are Cannon 14s still good. The skills should compensate for the low rate and range.

the only problem for this cannon its Low speed reload.. so if u have reloading or high rank gunnery.. i can say its best cannon.

if your skills are high enough master carronade 14 give you a better chance...
1) i can shoot faster and keep you from getting into crit position.
2) a crit from a master carronade will still kill any ship (with right skills)
3) and AIDE skill "Double shot defense" destroys the damage of these cannons as where there is no normal shot defense aide skill so they cant stop the damage of a carronade.
yes if your looking for shere power then cannon 14 are the best. but with the right skills a cannon 14's power can be stopped. where as carronade 14's cannot.
****** a cannons power shouldnt be your sole decision on what to fight with you need to look at how you fight and whats best for you.

theres 11 aide with normal shoot defence.

and only 3 of them that is battle aide (jafar, natascha, io) the rest is just not effective for battle
but still i disagree if carronade 14 cannot be stopped, many ppl took jafar as battle aide now (gunnery, accuracy, normal shot def) that's just great for BC/ESF when you need to take care of many different circumstances

any cannon can be stop with right skills (example you using master
cannon 14 or carronade 14) the enemy use Evasion (r18) and Double shot
defence or normal shot defence... i try this before and ppl usually
crit me 500-1k

If this cannon is demage dealer , but slow reload , why dont u guys use reloading skill ?
althought there have the skill ,
If u wanna say there has consummed 1 active skill slot , just replace reloading with ballistic :)
I dont know what ur guys think , but that just some idea ,
Ussualy any cannon demage is high , if ur angel is good and very close to ur enemy. I mean almost like critical :)

I prefer this over carros. I used these last time I grinded and that penetration power is just win! I specifically took Reloading skill to use this, and I almost feel I made my penetration skill obsolete.. :(

R18-20 gunnery makes this the best useable gun to use.

at gunnery r18, 8 ticks to load. at gunnery r20 7 ticks to load. havent tried with r19
