This glass fragment is my first relic I've obtained and am now ready for more, but have to wait a day apparently, haheh...


I was starting to get frustrated and losing interest in this after soooo many clues I have put together and this morning I put together a couple at the Alex bar and poof... this quest came open, yay!

If I buy relics from players, can they be used to help me gain progress in treasure hunt?

Just a quick note: Misun up above said the relic quest is in Naples, but this actually found at South Nantes. (The discovery quest tells you this as well, but anybody who's reading this before getting that far deserves to know as well.)

And Naoyasu, I believe it would work like buying a Knight's Crest to do the Thief Job quest: the game won't care how you found it, only that you have it available for sacrifice.

I've done a couple of TH and either old or throw away the reward items but I kept this one as I heard there's one TH that needs this in order to complete although I'm not sure what's the name of that TH.

Now, all have to wait for a month or 2 for the TH quest to reappear in order to get this item and wait another 1 or 2 months to use it for the TH that requires this. goodluck...

This item is needed for the TH Avalon, w/o it you can't complete the quest and from what said above. It's either you wait for a couple of months to redo the quest or buy it from someone. I highly doubt it anyone will sell it as the Avalon is considered a high TH like El Dorado. :)

Huh? But I still see Treasure Legends theme from Barkeep, and that's where this relic item comes from. No waiting needed, I don't think... or am I wrong? Anyway, don't give up on looking for fragments, I expect plenty of folks stockpiled these for the TH Avalon.

Thanks Donce! On another note, I have the same question as Kicker from a few comments ago: once you've unlocked Avalon TH with an ancient glass item, can you take the theme again if you discard it without another glass item needed to re-open Avalon, or not? Thanks in advance to anybody who knows the answer.

I should explain a little better -- I haven't started Avalon yet, but expect to lose the glass item like when you turn over a knight crest for Thief job. I'd love to be wrong about that, though! :)

Your question is tough, Lisa. I doubt someone will risk and discard Avalon theme without having extra ancient glass fragment.
My intuition tells me that after discarding Avalon theme you will need another ancient glass fragment.
Tomorrow I will get the last relic from Avalon theme and will try to take Avalon theme again - we will see then :)

PS and your expectations are correct - you lose ancient glass fragment then taking the theme :)

I've recently completed the Treasure Legends theme a second time, I received another Ancient Glass Fragment, the item will drop for you if you repeat the Treasure Hunt.

I'm off to run the Avalon Theme now :D

Part of the Truth of the Rumours (No.1) Memorial Album. See details on its page. Stats (since they're buried in the old comments):

No effect (loses dura at sea if not kept in bank/quarters vault)

Note: you can farm as many Ancient Glass Fragments as you want; you just have to repeat the clue synthesis until you have a relic quest and then take it again (limit one Relic Quest per day).

This item can also be sacrificed in order to access the Avalon Treasure Hunt theme. As I stated once before, the game doesn't care if you discover it via quest, buy it from a shop or fish it out of the sea with Flotsam Search ship skill -- just have it in your possession and Avalon TH will appear at any barkeep in the world.

Caution: once you sacrifice the Ancient Glass Fragment to take the Avalon TH, it will be removed from your inventory. If you discard the Avalon theme, it cannot be re-accepted until you have a new AGF key item in your possession.
