Also available from East Asian Festival Bag, which is sold in Helder's item shop for 10 million ducats during World Clock 17th Century, phases 3-5. An era-appropriate Adept of Age title can be used to make the festival bag appear as well.

Now this might be obvious, but uh...

This is a throwing knife.

As such, it benefits from throwing, not sword mastery. Yes, the description confused me too.

I remember hearing once that skills like Swordplay have inherent combat bonuses in situations like melee, even if you're using a weapon unconnected to their type, like the rifle-type Bajo Tsutsu which gives +2 Swordplay, or the Keris throwing knives (also give bonuses to Throwing/Swordplay). Could be that was the case with this throwing knife-type weapon as well. I agree the description still fairly odd.

Incidentally, this is one of the better +2 throwing knives in the game with fairly strong attack/defense power, and it's easier to acquire than some of its competitors. Just something to keep in mind.

I thought the only use for a +swordplay bonus on a non-sword weapon was to boost your attack during sea melee.

I am also curious about switching weapons during land battle; Do the bonus skills of the new weapon count, or of your original weapon?
