This game is really f-ed up... Enhanced Leather boots sell in Seville for 25 to 50M... usually have 35 to 50 Def. and around same in Dura. Why would a Gold armour with almost double the stats cost the same? Really f-ed up this game... thank you NC.

huh wha? You aren't making sense. you don't wear gold plated armor on your feet and it's not an either-or proposition. I don't think Gold plated armor is even something worth wearing so I wouldn't buy it for half the price of high-def boots.

You're trying to put together an entire outfit, it's stupid to compare boots to body gear.

Also, prices aren't set by the inherent properties of an item, they're set by supply and demand. Gold-plated armour is extremely heavy on the supply side of that, so it doesn't run for as much.

I think gold plated armour's a good thing for a newish player, especially if they have a friend who can make it. Stuff's dirt cheap really.

I mean Boots + Veg. oil + leather doesn't really cost that much. So how does it reach that ridículos price? Is it the rarity of the item? No... is it a very unique item? Also no... even if you add the investment you do to get the recipe the total value doesn't even go past 2M. And dont give me the BS about the time and effort of the crafter... that probably just spends its time farming dungeons or NPC fleets... and just because he clicked produce and alt+tab to check facebook... makes the value go up by 30M.

Yet another dumbass that doesn't realize (or probably even care) that refining boots fails, a lot. This armour does not fail, it isn't one you can refine, short of high alchemy (and that fails a lot, too).

Armour: put your mats in click produce.

Boots: put your mats in, click to improve, click to improve, ... fail, bye bye mats and boots. Start over.

Yes, there are tactics to mitigate losses a bit, but it's still not comparable. Every time you improve a boot by a few defense points you risk losing it, and you have to plan to use a whole lot more mats than the initial production cost to get anywhere with boot making.

Well since they're so easy to make, go make some. Knock yourself out. Tell us all how it comes out. just because its an r10 recipe doesn't mean you need to be trying to make them at r10 handicraft. I could explain it to you but you aren't going to listen or understand until you try to make them yourself.

ps. I also didn't like the price of them so I actually did make my own. I will sell on occasion but i've probably only ever sold 2-3 pairs, the rest go to company mates. Your "thank you NC" comment is a puzzler, not sure where NC even come into the argument.

"Thank you NC"... was to the fact that prices are inflated as you all know due to NC items or TB items. A new player starts to play... goes to Seville and quits right there. As a relatively new player that I am (+/-1 month), seeing boots cost +30M is kind of of a shock... well not only the boots... My statements are obviously due to lack of information... and for that I apologize... but you don't need to act like A-holes to make your point to someone that is trying to figure out this thing.

100 defense boots requirements to make

1000 vegetable oil
1000 fur or leather
30 pairs of standard 7 Def
Handicraft r16 minimum
Handicraft meister title
Paymaster aide 100
All 4 great success oxfords and item improvement technique
1hour - 2hours to actually craft the boots as you cannot just get one pair an improve over and over again as that will guarantee a failure must space out the improvements over the 30 pairs

Even with all this you can still fail

NOT EASY AT ALL!!

Well new player, you would have done better to just ask around as to why they are so "expensive" (30M takes all of 1-1.5 hours to accumulate even for a new player). If you come onto a 3rd party site to complain about how much they cost you are going to get exactly the kind of response you just got. It's not like we can see your levels or tell how long you've been playing until you say so.

Lesson learned, ivyro isn't the place to throw out an opinion and expect no blowback from it.

ohhh guys, we need to tune down abit on this website ! insteaf of info everyday we see hate here. If they complaint expensive, dont buy and do it yourself. If you can't do it, happy grinding and stop complaining where you can always have the choice not to buy.

One of the best armors for people saving money I've seen it sell for less than 2m these days (for 70def types) and has a higher def than most quest armors and its relatively cheap for a caster to make (getting the book is another problem entirely)

These are so cheap now. Have trouble selling 100 defence of these at 20mln... I remember the good ol' days :D. I couldn't even buy a 100 def for lower than 60mln back then, and now that everyone has decided to flood into alchemy (after forbidden alchemy book), gold-plated armours are relatively worthless - as all the people spam these for their experiments. I don't recommend making one of these to make money anymore.

Anyone know if there is a way to get Memorial Album credit without casting or alchemy? Seems like all the other armors can be found or plundered...except this one.

I couldn't find anything, at least. There are some MA items which can only be obtained through production, meaning certain albums can never be completed unless you get the appropriate skill. This looks to be one of them.
