Swords are obviously inferior to spears when the stat are the same.
Thats why some players choose Dagger-axe/Gae Bolg over Excalibur.
Balmung and other adventure quest swords are kinds of stuff which adventurers give to tavern girl as present.
It wont be more than 100mil or even 50mil.

having difficulties in finding somebody to buy.

But Balmung isnt a 2nd class weapon. Tizona is a 2nd class weapon, colada/durandal are 2nd class weapon. This weapon is exactly the same as Gaebolg, the only diff is 1 range. And in this game you cant attack on the run, you need to tank to attack (land battle mechanics are the worst feature of the game), so range (rifles/throwing and maybe spears) only works for hidding behind stones in a dungeon. Besides there is a thing called "sea battles" and abordage/melee that almost no one knows, Pirates years ago use it... in there range dont matter (Since new maritimes enter in a dungeon box).

Weapon descipline system makes 2nd tier weapons totally useless, and earning forte pt of these is even harmful
because there are only 5 weapons in the forte list and you cannot delete it.
I confess that my Fragarach is still 4th on the list and I feel disgusted to see it every time.

So, whats these 2nd tier weapons for?
For boobs? No, even noobs refuse to get garbage.
For your aide? No, he deserves much better looking one.
Throw it into your storage alt? No, its waste of item slot.
A present to tavern girls? hmm, she doesnt look pleased with it.

Laurencio is really stupid he doesn't even know how to control his forte list so he doesn't lose forte and he would rather pay 1bil for an extra 10 atk when this sword is a fraction of the price and is unplunderable if best he could have sold it but as noobs always do in UWO think they know it all and make stupid decisions despite trying to reason with them. I'm actually scared to answer because I get criticized for everything I do. :'(

Anyway you can control manipulate the forte list by equipping the weapon you don't want to lose forte on as long as that weapon is equipped it can't be removed from the list.

Every time you introduce a new weapon it takes the place of the lowest number on the list.

This is especially useful when training finesse as you keep introducing then removing the lowest attack weapon from your forte list to keep your attack the lowest it can be.

I've done grinding sb building sambuk which is 12 days and I can assure you within that days my saw loses dura by 1 (not all the time). To be safe, not more than 5 days but I never encounter less than 3 days.

The 30 days don't reset when you port. So, when you first reach the port where you are building your sambuks, it's possible that let's say 25 days have passed since last time you accrued interest. Then you go to build your first sambuk. After 5 days at sea, interest is accrued, and any perishable item in your possession may loose dura. If you want to keep your saw intact, you'd better vault it before going out to sea.

And yet, a few months ago, a friend sold two Balmungs for 450m each, while I nabbed a Six Secrets accessory for 100m in a bazaar a couple days ago. Just goes to show ya, there is no real set value to anything in this game... the market rates are more like guidelines, really.
