Can you put the right size FS parts into a ship even if it doesn't give a skill, like general medium gun port in a Cruise Light Clipper?

well the question asked about a cruise light clipper so little chance of a general sail part being used there. I do agree with MarcoS however about these fail or even ripoff builds I've seen in Seville. They have always been there but they seem to be on a marked increase. If you don't do a lot of SB yourself or know a lot about it, ask somebody you trust about these things. Don't take random advice from somebody you don't know...

So yes, even if it doesn't give the skill and is NPC, it'll still work. Thanks!

Can you use a hull while improving the already existing ship?

No sir

no klaus hulls are only for FS building which only works for certain ships, you cant use for saving SSIPs or paneling an existing ship, however if you still want to get a national or teak paneling (any other as well but others are most likely a waste) you can add a panel as one of the 2 optional parts during one improvement.

Question: As long as I know Wave Resistance rises the max. Ship speed. Does anyone know how big this effect is? Is it f.e. +2 Sail per WR?

Most excellent question, I'd like to know too, so I'm bumping it before it gets buried by trolling and spamming.

I'm going to be bumping Lewis' question because I'm curious.
"Question: As long as I know Wave Resistance rises the max. Ship speed. Does anyone know how big this effect is? Is it f.e. +2 Sail per WR?"
Does anyone know?

Dont seems that wave resist "adds maximun speed", but for sure makes easier to reach higher sea speed bonus. If you want to hit max sea bonus, you need to sail without any cargo, WR helps to bypass some cargo penalties when not going empty. In trade ship maxed WR can add 15-35% speed, maybe more when sailing in deep sea. Every ship speed is related by "hull size" (hidden value), total hold and sailpower

I think the effect is more pronounced in battle and in areas where the waves are high. I have a max sail/turn/WR ETeaC that is pretty good at getting out of battle with the quickness, and I've noticed the same with my battle ships that have high WR seem to move a lot better in battle. With regard to the high waves, I had a 4/4 BTC with comparatively much less WR than my ETeaC does. When I round the cape in it, I always seemed to lose a lot of speed in the BTC, and seem to lose less in the max WR ETeaC. Not exactly comparing apples to apples, as it's not the same ship, but I think it's an effect of the WR that I'm seeing.

"When I round the cape in it" u mean , turn around ? then its not the wr that matters , its the turn speed , the ship actual turning speed will stop rasing at a certain amount of TS added , but adding more will surely lower the speed the ship lose due to turning

Question for Sber , for aide ship if we build with 25% plus cargo that come with big penalty does it affect main ship speed ? Thx before for answer
Edgedemon06-17-2018
that was an easy one, the 25% penalties make less WR, less sails and slower accel due to higher cargo, none of which affects the main ship or any ships hauling you.
