(continued from prev) If you prefer the least cargo beyond effective
range, say -25%, HL would be fine because it cancels out the sail
penalty. Its really a quick ship but you take -5 TurnSpeed and
WaveResistance penalty as well.

I've just seen it in game and was wonder why high lvl playesr is using CLC, checked it, and it was 'Patrol Corvette' lol. They both are very similar that can be easly mistaken.

Its faster than survey frigate....but survey frigate skill set is better.....hard to choose the best speed/high accel boat

for long range runabout i'd use this boat, for short range in hostile waters i'd use the survey frigate, or anytime you think there's a good chance somebody will catch you and try to sink.

don't do max wave resistance, put some good turn on it for when it does get caught and drug into battle, 30 wr is a lot of overkill from what i understand about how it works and helps to speed you up.

@Read : just iron , since this one is test build so i didnt dismantle
later my friend will build another 1 or 2 with either teak or national panel
i rcm focus on turn & amour , wr just enough to storm sail

@Xiao Wei - What is the cargo hold amount and how many gun ports are there ? What skills does that 5/5 have ?

I am not sure if it would be a good idea to max gun ports since though because the more guns equiped, you need more sailors to get it working right ?

@Emma - I suppose it would depend on whether or not you intend to use the Corvette for light pirating, in which case, you may want more crew and cannons just for the combat job. If you're looking for a sailing ship, I agree that maxing cannon chambers would be detrimental to your cause.

ship hold affect ship speed , not gun port and crew , so i guess the crew should be max and the gun port should be your choice , u can either use 5 cannons or only 1 for more cargo , totally up to u to choose if u will ever wanna shoot your target down :)

Which is faster, this or a Cruising Tea Clipper?

In my experience the cruising tea clipper has better top-end speed. However the Patrol Clipper is one of my favorite ships to date.

The Patrol Corvette is better able to defend itself in the battle ring. The acceleration this ship is capable of rivals that of row-boats. Better armor than a vaisseau, good dura even when teak paneled. This is the ship I am in 90% of the time.
