Actully I agree with donpiano, maybe if he raged while defending his ideas is because arguing with stupid people is impossible, its simple as that. You debate with them because they cling to their poor, stupid ideas because their simple minds can not comprehend the truth, much less they can't see it even if it appears with a shiny glow infront of them; it's something like arguing with monkerys or stones...

This "discusion" reminds me a scene from the matrix where morpheus says: "they are so hopelessly dependent of the system, that they will fight to protect them..." That is the case of those stupid players, with a fixed thought process, they can not accept truth event if they see it.

This game is not dead, does it need a slight rebalancing, yes, but if we keep getting more new people that will even it out. The problem is the top level people throwing around so much money, ingame and otherwise, that it is hard to catch up. yes, there is Syracuse, but still, this game has hundreds of hours of fun, without even going round the horn of Africa...if you want to go and get your butt handed to you, then EA is the place, if you like quiet trading, north America is for you, or the north sea, if you like adventuring, then look to the near east/Mediterranean, and fun you will have. O and get out of the barca ASAP, even if that means a cog or small caravel, this is comments on the Battle Barca after all. See you out there.

Old players got ahead when inflation hit uwo with dungeons things didn't cost as much they do now but getting money now is easier than before kind of works both ways.
