- The NC versions of any ship have the same optional skills as their non-nc counterpart. Someone will know for sure, but my guess would be this ship would have the same optional skills as a FCV. Can anyone verify this?

- its got its uses. for example you could be adventuring or trading and have some pirate bothering you. with this you can change to maritime job and turn the tables

- In addition to Hans comments, it will be very important to get an aide with "flameshot defence" skill (notably Chester does that). Also another useful hint regarding to save MCT, is to get a junk lvl 52 Vaisseau, and bring down its max dura to 50%. Max dura can't drop below 50%, thus you won't give a shiit to crit hit. With flameshot defence turned on, those ships do only 100-200 damage to you on average crit (or much less if distance is far). Once you are in ideal position (aligned right next to edge), turn off flameshot defence except in time of urgency (can't repair due to eating food, rescuing). The prof. u got from evasion is somehow related to the damage u avoided, and flameshot defence slices away some total damage before you could evade...

- When in the map this is named 'Africa Southwest Coast' but at docks it's named 'South-South-West Africa Landing' which is more accurate. The "true" 'Africa Southwest Coast' is the landing point north of this one.

- i tended to have fire fighting (ff) skill and use this IQ to grind that also , George can help - if your not a full-on maritimer, but as Chester says it does affect proficiency gained for evasion

- @ Junchul: All the info I've read on these indicate a one time thing. It'll be interesting to see if we rediscover things belonging in the various Memorial Albums that we've already discovered though. E.G. I've already discovered all the fish in the amazon and I wonder if those aren't so much a discovery but taking the fish themselves to the appropriate npc
